How to enable GPG Mail on macOS
macOS Sonoma
On macOS 14 Sonoma GPG Mail is currently in beta. After installing the beta to activate GPG Mail:
- Open
Mail › Settings › Extensions - Click on the checkbox next to GPG Mail
- Activate your Support Plan in
GPG Keychain > Settings > GPG Mail
macOS Ventura, Monterey, Big Sur or Catalina
On macOS 11 Big Sur, 12 Monterey and 13 Ventura GPG Mail should automatically be activated. If that did not work or you are still running macOS Catalina, to enable GPG Mail
- open
Mail > Settings > General > Manage Plug-Ins… - tick checkbox for GPGMailLoader (In case you see more than one
GPGMailLoader, pick the newest one) - click
Apply and Restart Mail - Activate your Support Plan in
Mail > Settings > GPG Mail.
