Remember Passphrases

Debug Log

Hello,

after updating to the latest version, my passphrases are not remembered anymore as before.

I want them to be stored in Mac keychain, and then never be asked about them ever again.

Now the default seems to be "remember for 600 seconds".

If I turn off that checkbox, I have to re-enter the passphrase every couple of seconds while writing an email (encryption of drafts is enabled, which I want to have).

The checkbox for remembering in keychain is turned on, of course.

So I do everything as written in the FAQ, but my passphrases are not stored in the keychain and need to be re-entered all the time.

    Latest version on High Sierra.

    Hi Rüdiger,

welcome to the GPGTools support platform. Sorry you are having problems using GPG Suite.

Could you please send a debug log from your affected machine: Open System Preferences > GPG Suite > Send Report. Check the box to "attach debug log". Since you already described your issue in this discussion, you don't need to add a lot of detail, but please do add the link to your existing discussion, so I can then merge your debug info with this existing discussion.

Could you send your gpg-agent.conf file please?

I'm setting this discussion to "private". That means only our core-team and the company hosting this support platform are able to access this discussion.

Just to be sure: you do not have MacKeeper installed on your mac?

    All the best,
    steve

    Hello,

I have sent a debug report.

To work around the problem, I have turned the remember-me-timeout to 6000 seconds, just so you know.

When I turn the checkbox off, the config looks like this:

I have never used MacKeeper. I use Malwarebytes, however.

It is a bit weird by the way that because of the ticketing system I cannot send you an encrypted E-Mail ;)

    Viele Grüße,
