Hi,
I was wondering if you have any progress with GPG Tools support for Mac OS Big Sur.
Thanks,

Eylam

    Hi Eylam,

there has been some progress as this week we looked into allowing installation of GPG Suite on macOS Big Sur and managed to get this done today:
    https://releases.gpgtools.org/nightlies/

GPG Mail however will not work and there is no public beta available currently.

    All the best,
    Steve

    Hi @eylam.tamary,

I can confirm the nightly does install correctly on Big Sur beta 4 (public beta 1; I'm personally holding off on beta 5 [public beta 2] due to some reported reliability regression for key apps) as of writing.

At that point, GPG Keychain.app currently launches & appears to be working properly. However, the GPG Suite preferences pane cannot be opened ("Could not load GPG Suite preference pane." error is shown when clicked) and the GPG Mail plugin bundle is still incompatible (automatically disables on the relaunch of Mail.app.) I'm sure these are known issues that are actively being worked on, though.

I'm eager to hear an update regarding a beta for the GPG Mail compatibility update on Big Sur. I've subscribed to this support topic just in case. Let me know if there's anywhere else I should be subscribed to so I don't miss it (GPG Suite preference pane not loading has me thinking I might miss out on an automatic beta update.) :)

    Hi KZeni,

I can confirm that I had the same experience you describe above.

I saw additional thread on this topic and it got the same answer.

I hope the @Steve from will keep the thread update with updated solution.

Could you please download and install our latest hotfix GPG Suite and see if with that build GPG Suite Preferences does open as expected on macOS Big Sur.

    All the best,
    Steve

Disclaimer: Hotfixes are GPG Suite builds containing our latest source code, so bugs and crashes may occur.

    Hi Steve,
I can confirm that after installing this hot fix the GPG suite is open as expected.

That would be the expected state. Thanks for testing.
