MacGPG: PGP Fails if putting wrong password in - Code 152

If accidentally put the wrong password in. I only get that 1 attempt.
When trying again always says Decryption failed.

Other people seem to be able to try numerous passwords on their Macs!

Would like to get few more attempts.
The passwords given sometimes are wrong and we have to guess from list provided.
But my one attempt doesn’t help me

    Hi Kyle,

    welcome to the GPGTools support platform. Sorry you are having problems using GPG Suite.

    You are using a very old release of GPG Suite. Could you install GPG Suite 2019.2 from our website and see if the problem persists with that build.
