GPG Mail: XPC Service is not working properly

The XPC Service is not working properly.

What did you expect instead

I expected it to decrypt the email.

Describe steps leading to the problem.

The problem is reproducible by opening an encrypted mail.

Are you using any other Mail.app plugins?

I'm not using any other Mail.app plugins.

This issue is bugging me for a long time now, I hope there is a way to resolve it! :)

    Hi Simon,

    welcome to the GPGTools support platform. Sorry you are having problems using GPG Suite.

    Could you please try the following steps to debug this and see if step 1 or 2 solve the problem and if not let us know about step 3:

    1. restart mac
    2. Are you running software like CleanMyMac?
      If so, please navigate to Extensions > Launch Agents and ensure that all entires with gpgtools in their name are enabled and show with a green dot.
    3. open Mail.app > Preferences > GPGMail and let us know which color you see for the status indicator

    1. Restarting my Mac does not help.
    2. I don’t run CleanMyMac or similar software
    3. The Status Indicator is green
