welcome to the GPGTools support platform. Sorry you are having problems using GPG Suite.
Does this problem persist after restarting your mac?
If it does, could you open macOS Keychain and search for "gnupg". Do you see any results for that search? If so, you may double click that entry and retrieve your password from there.
