Nightly build of GPGPreferences includes a Comments section, but I cannot see them used in the tools

Not nightly GPGMail, nor nightly GPGServices—only on the command-line gpg2.

Is it intended that these default comments should be included in armored messages?

I think we've added the comments field based on user request, but still not really sure, what good the comment field does in ascii armored pgp messages...

Not sure—I can guess some possible value in being included in an armored public key, to give it a readable header.

I only bring it up because it is a seemingly new feature that seems incomplete. One more problem: the comment I would think is required to be ASCII, since it's used in ASCII-armored content, but GPGPreferences doesn't enforce this.

Should be fixed now. Could you please visit our nightly builds and download the latest GPGTools-XXXn.dmg file.

Run that on your system and see if the problem persists.

    All the best, steve
