<p>welcome to the GPGTools support platform. Sorry you are having problems using GPG Suite.</p>
<p>There are a few things to take into consideration here:</p>
<ul>
<li>an asc attachment could be both a signature or a public key</li>
<li>using PGP/MIME you will not see any attachment for the signature</li>
<li>if a public key was attached to the email message you would see an attachment</li>
</ul>
<p>Basically GPG Mail is behaving as expected. You received a signed email. The email is shown as signed and the signature was successfully verified. That is all sweet and dandy.</p>
<p>If you want to see what it would look like if a public key was attached to a signed email, please open GPG Keychain any key then select menubar > key > send public key via email.</p>
<p>That will open an email draft. Make sure that message is signed (and encrypted if you also want to test that) and then that draft to yourself. You would then receive a signed and encrypted email with an asc files attached, which is the shared public key.</p>
