welcome to the GPGTools support platform. Sorry you are having problems using GPG Suite.

There is an open bug for Libreoffice #115538 which was files in february 2018 which addresses this problem:
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115538

You may want to add your +1 to that bug to raise awareness of the LibreOffice dev departement.

Sadly, there is nothing we can do to improve the situation on our side.

Best,
Steve

Stevetag:gpgtools.tenderapp.com,2011-11-04:Comment/465652712018-11-28T12:55:28Z2018-11-28T12:55:29ZMacGPG: Cannot find certificates in LibreOffice

Ok, just added my ‘mee too’...

Luc Lalondetag:gpgtools.tenderapp.com,2011-11-04:Comment/465652712018-11-28T12:56:15Z2018-11-28T12:56:15ZMacGPG: Cannot find certificates in LibreOffice

Luc, back when I tried to debug this error I found that when LibreOffice is started from Terminal it works. Not sure what the difference is, but
Sign Document…
shows my keylist when LibreOffice is started via Terminal:

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115538 seems to have been addressed in LibreOffice by updating gpgme.

The updated gpgme version has not yet made it into LibreOffice stable branch but can be tested in their latest nightly build from:
https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/current.html

There are remaining problems with the implementation done by LibreOffice, however the initial problem that keys can't even be used is now a thing of the past.

Best,
Steve

Stevetag:gpgtools.tenderapp.com,2011-11-04:Comment/465652712022-02-08T15:56:40Z2022-02-08T15:56:40ZMacGPG: Cannot find certificates in LibreOffice

Hello Steve,

Tried the most recent nightly build of version 7.4Alpha. And yes, I
can now sign a document.

However, if you still get an error if you click on 'Start Certificate
Manager'.

At least this seems to be a good step in the right direction!

Thanks for the update!
