    Hi Hannes,

unfortunately this happens due to a bug in macOS Mail on Mojave. We have filed the bug with Apple but it is unclear how long it will take them to resolve the issue.

Following are the steps that should fix this problem:

    Close Mail.app
Open Terminal and run the following command:

    sudo rm -rf ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail/Data/DataVaults

    Open Mail.app

Please let us know if that worked.

Just wanted to confirm that running that command fixed this issue for me. I then had to enable the plugin as outlined here: https://gpgtools.tenderapp.com/kb/gpgmail-faq/enable-gpg-mail-on-ma...

    Thanks for the feedback Mike.

We reported this problem to Apple, so they are a aware of this bug in Mail.app. Let's hope they can manage to fix it sooner than later.
