When I updated GPG Suite through the Sparkle push on my home Mac (running a public Mojave beta), I was prompted for my credentials because of something to do with the System Preferences. I provided them -- but when I updated GPG Suite (stable) on my work Mac (High Sierra), I did not get this prompt.

After the Handbrake server compromise: https://forum.handbrake.fr/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=36364 -- I'm a little paranoid after the fact.

Got a notice for an update and clicked through the installer process.

Are you using any other Mail.app plugins?

No

mfisher911tag:gpgtools.tenderapp.com,2011-11-04:Comment/461423882018-10-24T16:30:46Z2018-10-24T16:30:46ZAdministrator Account for System Preferences?

Hi,

our installer runs an Apple Script during installation to close Mail.app. While on macOS High Sierra this didn't require additional permissions, it does now under macOS Mojave, since Apple has decided to restrict Apple Script access, which makes sense in a lot of cases, but unfortunately the implementation is not necessarily great and can be confusing.

Hope that explains what is going on.

Luke Le
