GPG Mail: Paid for the "upgrade", now messages no longer decrypt!

OK, so like countless other users, I clicked on "upgrade" and got tagged for a subscription fee. As annoying as that was, it was nowhere near as annoying as the fact that the software no longer decrypts my incoming encrypted email!!! I wasted hours today trying to get this to work again, without success. I sent the sender an encrypted email, which he was able to decrypt. But incoming emails from him with encrypted file attachments no longer decrypt. I get an error message telling me that the secret keys could no longer be found in my keychain -- despite the fact that I looked in my keychain, found them, re-imported them, re-started Mail, and had the same exact problem and error message. I don't mind paying for software, provided it works. This used to. Now it doesn't. I am NOT happy.

    Hi Fred,

welcome to the GPGTools support platform. Sorry you are having problems using GPG Suite.

Please excuse the late reply, we are deeply sorry for not responding earlier. The amount of feedback we received in regards to the GPG Suite 2018.4 release was overwhelming - both positive and negative. We are doing our best to catch up as fast as we can.

Could you please download and install our latest hotfix GPG Suite and see if that solves your problem.

In case the issue persists, can you please tell us which OpenPGP software and exact version the author of the problematic messages is using?

    All the best,

Disclaimer: This is a development version which has not been thoroughly tested yet - bugs or crashes are to be expected. Thanks for helping us test.
