Hello ,

The problem is the following , this is the 2nd time that after I install an update of your GPGprogram on my Mac that my GPG keys and contacts are gone from the list , last time I have searched a couple off day’s with my back up’s to find and put all the necessary files back in place eventually the list en key’s came back .

But because this is not my everyday routine , I’m now obliged to go search everything again and puzzle me a way out. The fact is that I use my gpg to log in to certain messages or sites with 2FA so this is very unpleasant.

That when you put an update available for the public that you make sure to check that the same problem from 2016 does not repeatedly happen over and over again . And that the update takes the old GPG folder with the keys and previous preferences as the version before the update.

Additional info
Some help how to fix this fast would be very apreciated here thanx in advance

    Hi Benjamin,

welcome to the GPGTools support platform. Sorry you are having problems using GPG Suite.

Please excuse the late reply, we are deeply sorry for not responding earlier. The amount of feedback we received in regards to the GPG Suite 2018.4 release was overwhelming. We are doing our best to catch up as fast as we can.

From which version of GPG Suite did you update? The 2018 versions all include the update to MacGPG 2.2 (from MacGPG 2.0).

Since that is a major change, we created a backup folder so nothing is lost.

Could you take the time to go through this KB article and let me know if it brings you back to working state?
