key import of old keys not successful

I can’t import my keys from my old laptop. I tried importing public, secret, and sub keys and I still can’t decrypt anything. It fails with:

gpg: decryption failed: No secret key

This is ridiculous.

Expected
It should actually decrypt encrypted files.

    Hi Kevin,

    welcome to the GPGTools support platform. Sorry you are having problems using GPG Suite.

    Can you provide exact steps you took to import your old keys? What is the output you get for that? Are you seeing any error messages? If yes, please take a screenshot and attach it.

    It seems your secret keys were not imported from the error you are seeing when trying to decrypt.

    Hi there,
    I cannot import all keys that I get from my friends. That is it says imported this and that key but it is not there. What shall I do.
    When I get the key from my friend I right click and get into finder clicking on import key from file and when it is done it says imported key successful but as said, it is not there.
    Can anybody say something about this
