GPGServices: encrypt, decrypt, sign missing under keyboard shortcuts

I am trying to setup my PGP, OS is High Sierra, and am following an online tutorial. It says that I have to enable keyboard shortcuts for decrypt, encrypt, sign and verify. My problem is that those 4 steps are not listed, everything else is? Why is that and what I am doing wrong? Please let me know, with best wishes, Micha

    Hi Micha,

welcome to the GPGTools support platform. Sorry you are having problems using GPG Suite.

Can you post a link to the tutorial? Is that some official documentation from our side? If yes, we may have to update some screenshots.

I think the items just may be named differently. OpenPGP: Encrypt is now either OpenPGP: Encrypt File or OpenPGP: Encrypt Selection (first for files, latter for text) depending on the section you are on in the System Preferences dialog.

    All the best,

    Hi Steve,

Thank you very much for getting back to me.

I have used this tutorial. <>

Could you please send me the the link to your documentation?

Maybe you are right and the items have just branded differently with the new Mac OS High Sierra und the system preferences log.

I would like to encrypt texts (see screenshot)

Do you think it now just simply called ‘encrypt selection’?

Please let me know and thanks for you kind support,

    with best wishes, Micha

That is an unmaintained tutorial from early 2014.

Our documentation can be found here:

Yes, please enable encrypt selection and decrypt selection.

Let me know if that does the trick.
