LaunchAgent is missing.

Once in a while, our users will encounter an orange status for GPGMail. The launchctl unload/load commands from the kbase do not work since LaunchAgent org.gpgtools.Libmacgpg.xpc.plist is missing from /Library/LaunchAgents/ This is what we see:
1087 0 org.gpgtools.macgpg2.shutdown-gpg-agent
- 0 org.gpgtools.updater - 0 org.gpgtools.gpgmail.user-uuid-patcher - 0 org.gpgtools.gpgmail.enable-bundles - 0 org.gpgtools.macgpg2.fix

The only solution we have is to reinstall GPG Suite. However, this problem reoccurs but the cause is still unknown to us.

Expected
org.gpgtools.Libmacgpg.xpc.plist should not be missing.

this KB-article explains what to do when you are seeing an orange or red color indicator in GPGMail preferences.

Could you try that out and see 1. if it fixes the problem and 2. in case it does, if the fix is permanent?

Best,

Thanks for the reply. I missed adding that when we
ls /Library/LaunchAgents/
, the org.gpgtools.Libmacgpg.xpc.plist is missing. We also look in
/Library/LaunchDaemon
and it is not there either. This is why I mentioned that the launchctl unload/load commands have no effect. Reinstalling brings it back but the problem reoccurs.

Thanks,

Any ideas on why this might be happening? Anything else I should into?

Thanks,

is there any chance that you are running some other software which might delete that file? If a re-install fixes it, that means to me that the file is correctly installed at one point, but vanishes after some time. I could only think of some kind of Antivirus software that does that.

Luke Letag:gpgtools.tenderapp.com,2011-11-04:Comment/447721832018-03-29T18:28:32Z2018-03-29T18:28:32ZGPGMail: GPGMail status is Orange.
