hi there,

gpg used to work fine for me. starting today it wasn´t able to decrypt messages anymore.
i get a message saying: decrypt_message failed: unknown system error.

older messages from the same sender still can be decrypted, only two i got today won't work.

the gpg bubble in preferences is green.

what can i do?

    hi Lars,

this is what I would do:

    1. Yosemite and older: Use DiskUtility to repair permissions, restart your Mac.

    If problem persists:

    1. Download latest GPGSuite install package, use uninstaller first, then install again. No worries: You won´t loose any settings or items saved in your GPGKexchain.

    2. If all this fails to repair the issue: Report to this forum and don´t forget to mention version-#s of OSX, Mail.app and GPGSuite.

    Good luck!

    Hi Lars,

did you try what Thomas suggested?

Can you please copy all version info as described here into this discussion.

Did you install GPG Suite 2015.09?

    All the best,
    steve

hey guys, i did an GPG update yesterday, here´s the (new) version info:

                (13F1112)

    Libmacgpg 0.6.1 752
    GPGMail 2.5.2 1060
    GPG Keychain 1.2.1 1147
    GPGServices 1.10.1 871
    MacGPG2 2.0.28 855
    GPGPreferences 1.5 846

im on osx 10.9.5 and after the update, decrypting messages works fine again.
i didn´t try DiskUtility since it worked for me to download the decrypted attachments and then decrypt (also i´m on a brand new ssd + clean install).

    thanks!
