Encrypt/sign failed! Code = 0
Good evening, I'm new to PGP, and despite having followed your
tutorial, the encryption system is not working.
I report my problem, I have successfully created my public key and
private, and have already imported the public key of my friend.
GPG_Suite-2015.03-b6.dmg
10.10.3
I have the need to encrypt with Text Edit a written text, following these steps:
- Select All
- Right Click
- Services
- OpenPGP: Encrypt
It appears the error message attached. Do you know what it depends on? I successfully imported the public key of my friend without problems.
What did you expect instead
The encrypted text and not the error message.
Thanks for any answers, and congratulations for your work.

I installed Gpg4win on another laptop, and it works. I crypted the text ...
Then I moved the encrypted file in .asc format on mac, and decryption works!
In short I can not encrypt anything on mac ..
Nobody really knows what the problem is?
Regards

Raf: Do you have chrome installed? Are you using any extensions in chrome? Is PushBullet one of those extension? What other (if any) extensions are you using in chrome).
Could you please open Console.app, try to encrypt a file and see if you find any error messages in console.app. If so, please post the output here.
Markus: replied in your discussion.
Stephan, I'll split your comment into a separate discussion. It has shown to be the most effective way of moving things forward and not loosing oversight during that :)

Good evening, I do not have Chrome installed on mac. i use Safari and Firefox.
I opened the console, deleted all the messages and tried to simulate the error of encryption, did not appear any error messages on the console.
Any thoughts?

Hey Raf,
can you hop on our live chat?
https://www.hipchat.com/gi8zHW4K3
The error message your screenshot shows does appear instantly after clicking the Services > OpenPGP: Encrypt option or do you see the GPGServices window and the error shows as soon as you click "Ok" in the GPGServices window to start the encryption?
Can you please open Mail.app > Preferences > GPGMail and tell me which color you see for the bubble at the very top of that tab?
Regards,
steve

Hi Raf,
could you please let the debug script run on your machine and post the output .log file as attachment to this discussion. This KB-article explains how to do that. Once the script is finished, a new mail with the info as attachment will be created. Please take that attachment and add it to this discussion here.
I'm switching this discussion to “Privat”. That means it can only be accessed by the core Team and the company hosting this platform.
