Upgrade to Yosemite ok?
I am going to be upgrading from Mavericks to Yosemite soon. Is there any problems I will encounter in Yosemite with the GPGTools suite?
I am especially concerned with being able to decrypt my files that are encrypted using GPGTools (via the Services/OpenPGP:Encrypt File).
Thanks

Hi Steve,
the GPG Suite beta 3 is working pretty ok so far. GPGServices works just as good as under 10.9.
So that shouldn't be an obstacle in your 10.10 transition.
There's a known issue when using SmartCards under OS X 10.10. So if you are a heavy smartcard user, you might want to hold off, until that is sorted out.
All the best,
steve

No, no Smart Cards here.
Do I need to backup my private keys before I update? Or should the update not effect them at all??
Thanks

While the update should not affect any of your keys, a backup never hurts. Basically a weekly backup of your entire hardrive is suggested. If that is not feasable, at least backup all your keys.
This KB-article explains how to do that: http://support.gpgtools.org/kb/gpg-keychain-faq/backup-or-transfer-...
