Key Validation: MIT and other public servers
Hello,
Although I can search and find my key (CMD+F) via GPG Keychain
Access, I cannot find it using https://pgp.mit.edu 'No results found: No
keys found'. I uploaded my key at the beginning of September via
GPG Keychain Access, and also submitted it to https://pgp.mit.edu a few hours ago as an
ASCII file extracted from exporting my key, which it MIT accepted.
Any clues why that might be? Also is there any other public key
servers you recommend for testing and verifying keys.
Thanks

Just to clarify, that I was testing using the Key ID, 16 and 8 string versions.

Hi Steve,
Is there an update on this issue please?
I was wondering if it is easier to revoke and create a new key?
Thanks,
Darren

Hi Darren,
first off, MIT key servers should be just fine. GPG Keychain comes with a list of key servers pre-installed. Press cmd , to get to the GPG Keychain preferences.
You might try another key server.

I was unable to find your public key so I'm sure it was not uploaded so far.
All the best, steve

This has been resolved (old key revoked, new key created, nightly installed, and key did upload fine).

Hi Steve,
Again, thanks for your help. I made a small donation yesterday.
You closed this before I got round to it.
