GPGServices issue. version unknown (not sure how to check)
OS 10.8.5

Even though I have this line in my gpg.conf:

default-key XXXXXXXX

When I encrypt a file, the dialog box does not automatically choose that key for encrypting.

    Hi Sam,

As a workaround for the time being:

    • open GPGPreferences
    • set default key
    • done

    All the best :)

Thanks! For some reason, choosing a default secret key in prefs had no effect. I had to add a new secret key, go back to prefs and choose a secret key, then delete the dummy key. If default key is blank and you have only a single secret key, it's not possible to set the default key.

(To clarify: you will see it set in prefs, but when you encrypt a file, the key is not chosen)
