GPG Mail: Scrolling Broken On Partially Encrypted Emails On Big Sur

When reading a partially encrypted email using GPGMailLoader 5.0 (1569) in Mail.app on Big Sur 11.2.3 (20D91), the email window is unable to scroll. That is, if you scroll down, the email content ends roughly 30-30px (roughly the height of the toolbar) below the bottom of the window, and the scroll is "elastic" as if the clipped content is the bottom of the page.

In the screenshot I have attached, I took the screenshot while scrolling past the clipped bottom of the page, so you can see how it looks. You can also calculate the height of the email content by adding the height of the visible content to the height of the portion of the content hidden behind the toolbar at the top (roughly the top two lines of the email header).

    Hi Elsie,

welcome to the GPGTools support platform. Sorry to hear you are having problems using GPG Suite.

Could you please download and install our latest hotfix GPG Suite and see if that changes anything in regards to this problem.

    All the best,
    Steve

Disclaimer: Hotfixes are GPG Suite builds containing our latest source code, so bugs and crashes may occur.

For some reason the 3012n installer seems to be installing 1587n. I even tried uninstalling first and then installing from scratch. Needless to say, scrolling is still broken on 1587n, but I kind of doubt that 1587n was the version you wanted me to test.

    Hi Elsie,

I confirmed the problem. You are doing everything right: GPG Suite build number is not identical with GPG Mail build number. So everything you are seeing is very much expected - except for the non scrollable misbehavior.

We have a ticket for this problem. I connected this discussion with the existing ticket. That means, should this discussion get closed, it will be re-opened as soon as the ticket is closed. That way you stay in the loop and will receive info as soon as we have news. Feel free to open a new discussion should you run into further problems or need assistance.

    Best,
    Steve
