Hi mvooo,
where did you find that key server? Was that included in the default list in GPG Keychain Access? It shouldn't since we still need to tweak a couple of things for hkps support.
We've a ticket for this problem:
https://gpgtools.lighthouseapp.com/projects/65684/tickets/151-add-h...
Besides that: what do you mean by "import files"? You mean decrypt? If so, what steps are you taking to get that done?
Best, steve

Hi there,
It was in the default list, and I also tried the default server (whatever was there when I installed it) - neither worked.
Here's the other ones I tried: hkp://keyserver.linux.it, hkp://pool.sks-keyservers.net
I am new to encryption. I clicked import and selected the csv.pgp file. Does that mean I was decrypting?
Thanks!

Any ideas here?

Hi,
GPG Keychain Access is the application to manage all your gpg keys.
To decrypt a file however, you'd simply right-click on it, choose Services -> OpenPGP: Decrypt file and should be fine.
Hope that helps.

Mac OSX 10.8.4, GPG Keychain Access 1.1.2 (507).
I have the following two lines in my gpg.conf which I got from http://sks-keyservers.net/overview-of-pools.php
keyserver hkps://hkps.pool.sks-keyservers.net
keyserver-options ca-cert-file=/path/to/CA/sks-keyservers.netCA.pem
When I try to search for a key in GPG Keychain Access I get:
Search keys failed!
Code = 0
Error text:
gpg: searching for "<email address>" from hkps server hkps.pool.sks-keyservers.net
gpg: key "<email address>" not found on keyserver
gpg: keyserver internal error
gpg: keyserver search failed: Keyserver error
A friend with a Windows-based GPG setup has no trouble finding the key.
When I try to search from Terminal I get:
% gpg --version
gpg (GnuPG/MacGPG2) 2.0.20
libgcrypt 1.5.3
Copyright (C) 2013 Free Software Foundation, Inc.
% gpg --search-keys <email address>
gpg: searching for "<email address>" from hkps server hkps.pool.sks-keyservers.net
gpgkeys: HTTP search error 77: error setting certificate verify locations:
CAfile: /path/to/CA/sks-keyservers.netCA.pem
CApath: none
gpg: key "<email address>" not found on keyserver
gpg: keyserver internal error
gpg: keyserver search failed: Keyserver error
Am I doing something wrong? Should this work?

Hi Axel,
you have to fix the path to the sks-keyservers CA file.
You can download the file at https://sks-keyservers.net/sks-keyservers.netCA.pem
Copy that to some path and adjust the path in your keyserver-options ca-vert-file accordingly.
