I didn't enter a passphrase when I first installed and made my public key. Is it possible to create a passphrase from here after?

Would i have to make a new key? please I looked through the website and tried to find some answers with no luck.
Thanks

    Hi Ali,

welcome to the GPGTools support platform. Sorry you are having problems using GPG Suite.

To change your password / passphrase for your OpenPGP key after it has been created:

    1. open GPG Keychain
    2. double click your sec/pub key entry
    3. in the new window click "Change Password…"
    4. enter your current password and select "OK"
    5. then enter your new password, repeat it and select "OK"

Let me know if that worked as expected and if it did, if you have any additional questions we can help you with.

    All the best,
    Steve
