I have forgotten the passphrase to my GPG key and as result cannot encrypt messages and I don't know how to change it

    Hi Herbie,

welcome to the GPGTools support platform. Sorry you are having problems using GPG Suite.

This KB-article explains what to do if you forgot your password or lost access to your secret key.

Let me know where you are at after going through that KB and if any of the steps were helpful in recovering the lost information.

You can only change the passphrase for your OpenPGP key if you have the current passphrase for obvious reasons. Otherwise this would be a big security problem.

    All the best,
    Steve
