Which of our tools is giving you problems?

GPG Keychain Access

What’s the version of that tool?

1.1.2 (507)

What version of OS X are you using?

Please describe your problem. Add as much detail as possible.

Keyserver search (Key -> Search for key) fails with Code = 40 when started from GPG KeyChain access (see attached image), but works when done from the command line (sorry, german localization):

[mymachine:~] myname% gpg2 --search-keys [email blocked] gpg: suche nach "[email blocked]" auf ldap-Server
(1) Body, Some [email blocked] 2048 bit RSA key 0C2FD758, erzeugt: 2010-11-08 Keys 1-1 of 1 for "[email blocked]". Eingabe von Nummern, Nächste (N) oder Abbrechen (Q) > 1
gpg: fordere Schlüssel 0C2FD758 von ldap-Server an
gpg: Schlüssel 0C2AD758: Öffentlicher Schlüssel "Body, Some [email blocked]" importiert
gpg: 3 marginal-needed, 1 complete-needed, PGP Vertrauensmodell
gpg: Tiefe: 0 gültig: 1 signiert: 0 Vertrauen: 0-, 0q, 0n, 0m, 0f, 1u
gpg: nächste "Trust-DB"-Pflichtüberprüfung am 2015-08-18
gpg: Anzahl insgesamt bearbeiteter Schlüssel: 1
gpg: importiert: 1 (RSA: 1)

    Hi Malte,

so you are using an company intern key server of your own? Not sure how to test against that.

Searching for keys works fine for me using hkp:// as key server.

Did you try that? What results are you getting?

    Best, steve
