Unable to use S/MIME for signing if both S/MIME and OpenPGP are available
I have an account with both an S/MIME and a PGP certificate/key available. Despite being able to select both S/MIME and OpenPGP in the top right corner of the compose window, the selection does not seem to have an effect. Even when selecting S/MIME, the PGP key is always used to sign the message.

Hi Alex,
welcome to the GPGTools support platform. Sorry you are having problems using GPG Suite.
There is a known problem in GPG Suite 2019.2 on macOS Catalina, that switching away from the default method is not respected. That means whichever method you set as default it will always be used.
This problem is already fixed in our hotfix release.
Could you please download and install our latest hotfix GPG Suite and see if that solves your problem.
All the best,
Steve
Disclaimer: Hotfixes are GPG Suite builds containing our latest source code, so bugs and crashes may occur.

Hi,
Was able to reproduce the issue on the stable release and can confirm that SMIME\GPG selector works fine now with the latest hotfix installed.
