    Hi Max,

welcome to the GPGTools support platform.

GPG Suite currently supports macOS 10.13 - 10.15. For earlier macOS release we can not offer support.

Unsupported legacy versions of GPG Suite are here:
    https://releases.gpgtools.org/oldies

You could try to install the release for your old OS from there and see if that resolves your problem.

Note that really old macOS releases do not receive important security fixes from Apple. So if possible, it is recommended to move to a newer version.

    All the best,
    Steve

    Hello GPG support,
Many thanks for providing the GPG Suite for Mac.

I realise the legacy OS 10.11.6 is not supported but in the interest of overall security when downloading apps from your site (https://releases.gpgtools.org/oldies/) I would like to bring to your attention:

The SHA256 that appears when dragging the version (https://releases.gpgtools.org/oldies/GPG_Suite-10.9-10.11.dmg) following the instructions (https://gpgtools.tenderapp.com/kb/how-to/how-to-verify-the-download...) does not match the SHA256 posted on the oldies site (f2a69beb82cc77c1e34fb897a720ad9ae28531b7).

(Instead I end up with 63be8bedf0674c79b147710c3dafc51c5dcc7480c5ce4529c21114fb23d8cbcf)

Certainly the problem may reside with the user, i.e. me :-) However, I would appreciate if you could address this problem. Otherwise I understand I better leave the software uninstalled.

    Kind regards,

    Thomas

    Hi Thomas,

the oldies page still lists the SHA1 hash of the downloads, instead of the SHA256 hash you are referring to.

To calculate the SHA1 hash, please use:

    shasum -a 1

    Hope that explains it.

    Hello,
Thanks for your prompt reply, much appreciated.

Yes, that explained it and now the SHA1 hash matches.

    Best,
    Thomas
