ps. it was very surprising to me that a security website would complain to me about having a password greater than 40 characters.

compasstag:gpgtools.tenderapp.com,2011-11-04:Comment/478419062019-11-20T23:49:44Z2020-01-20T11:25:10ZHow to verify integrity of downloaded Uninstaller?

Hi compass,

welcome to the GPGTools support platform. Sorry you are having problems using GPG Suite.

You can download the latest GPG Suite from our website as it always includes the uninstaller. Just mount the dmg file and run the uninstaller. The website always lists the signature file and sha256 checksum.

Let me know if that worked for you.

Are you referring to this support platform regarding the password restriction?

We are not the developers of this platform. But I agree - why websites restric password length is a mystery and 40 characters by far isn't the worst example for such behavior.

All the best,
