After upgrading to the latest GPG Suite (2013.07.31) the following things do not work:

GPG Preferences:

crashes with following message:
System Preferences[2390] -[NSBundle imageForResource:]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x2000aef20

GPG Services:

The application which GPG Services are called from becomes unresponsive and after several minutes there is a message:
Application org.gpgtools.gpgservices didn't return pasteboard data in time (expected types were any of (
    NSStringPboardType
))

GPG Keychain Access:

The phtos are not shown in the Key Inspector, not even the default one in the 'Key' tab.

    Hi Helmut,

this is very strange, since we've fixed exactly these issues in the release of July 31. Could you please try to re-download and re-install that version from https://s3.amazonaws.com/gpgtools/GPG%20Suite%20-%202013.07.31.dmg

    Thanks!

Hmm, thanks for the quick response. Weird, after reinstalling all my above reported errors are gone, BUT I get another crash when clicking on 'Check now' in the 'Updates' tab in GPG Preferences: (see steve's comment below)

thanks, but the crash diagnostic is wrong in the ticket. you pasted the first one there, which I got when trying to start gpg preferences. this is gone after I re-installed the sw.
the crash for the update is in the .txt file....

Hi Helmut, we've found the real issue now and it will be solved in the next official release.
In the meantime, here's a build that should fix it for you.

    Hi Luke,

Thank you. It works. 2 comments though:

    1) Is it normal that the 'Check now' button only checks for updates for GPG Preferences? I had the impression, it would check all the apps in the 'Updates' tab. Maybe it would be good to change it that all apps are checked.
    2) It would be nice to actually see the following info (for every app separately) in the 'Updates' tab:
Version installed, version available, time last checked.

Those 2 things are not really hard to implement, they just need dev approval... (if they even make any sense to you).

    Cheers,
     Helmut

    Hi Helmut,

    thanks for your input.

GPGPreferences is a bit of a mess at the moment.
We're trying to get rid of the single packages and simply keep the GPG Suite which contains everything and should be automatically updated if the user chooses to do so.
The single package strategy is much more work to maintain and no ones really profiting from it.
The reason you currently don't see an update button for the other tools is, that GPG Keychain Access, GPGMail have them in their Preferences.

So as you see, kind of a mess. But we're working hard to streamline this and make sense of it.
