Remove disabled Key (for which pass phrase has been forgotten) from GPG Suite
I have lost the pass word for my key. I cannot revoke the key. I have disabled the old key and generated a new key for future use and understand that without the pass phrase I have no longer access to my old encrypted emails. However, even after I reinstalled GPG suite on my mac OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 Pinentry Mac keeps asking me for the passphrase for the old key every few seconds. How can I disable the old key in the Apple mail program so that these pop windows no longer appear?

Hi Stefan,
welcome to the GPGTools support platform. Sorry you are having problems using GPG Suite.
Could you double check the old passphrase is not stored in macOS keychain by following the KB linked below:
The pinentry requests you are seeing may be happening due to the migration from MacGPG 2.0.x to 2.2.0.
Please visit the following KB-article and let me know if that brings you back to the expected state.
Best,
steve
