first of all i am not a developer of Gpgp Tools or involved to this
Software !</p>
<p>Apple have changed many things in Sierra OS one of them is the
Gatekeeper "App Translocation" a closer Look give you that Site
here:<br>
<a href="http://weblog.rogueamoeba.com/2016/06/29/sierra-and-gatekeeper-path-randomization/">
http://weblog.rogueamoeba.com/2016/06/29/sierra-and-gatekeeper-path...</a></p>
<p>With such Security Features it was very hard to develop Apps
without a Apple Developer Certificate or without bring it to App
Store</p>
<p>In short this Function does make a writhe protected dmg File
(like a Ram Disk) in private/ver/folders/xxx and copy the Code
there and start it from that hidden Disk.<br>
Many many Apps looks like work normal but some and realy only some
Features breaks like Automatic Updates or writing to own App Bundle
(Disk is Protected by Gatekeeper).<br>
A simple test can show you if one or more of your Apps affected by
that Problem, start Activity Manager double click App go to Open
Files and Ports and look if you see there Files that are open from
private/ver/folders/xxx Path.<br>
If yes this app or very often only part of that Apps are Gatekeeper
Protected .</p>
<p>This is only one Example what Problems Apple made for all
Developers outside the Appstore.</p>
<p>best</p>
<p>Andre</p>
<p>PS if you will use a Solution buy Postbox and use the GPGP
Plugin, postbox is in many ways better than Apple Mail and GPGP
works here since years without Problems.</p></div>Andretag:gpgtools.tenderapp.com,2011-11-04:Comment/408866332016-10-03T12:30:21Z2016-10-03T12:30:22ZmacOS Sierra Sierra support<div><p>Thank you Andre for the detailed explanation. I think it makes
it easier for all users to understand the complex problems the
developers struggling with.</p>
<p>P.S.: I tried out Postbox a long time ago, maybe I will try it
again. Thanks for the hint.</p>

Postbox V5 is out since a few Days, cool Look and very near Apple
Mail with a some cool Enhancements (Plugins) it was a very cool
app</p>

<p>As far as I understand, Apple has made so many changes to MacOS
Sierra that making plugins etc for pre-installed apps is almost
impossible.<br>
Does that mean that GPGMail will not work on Sierra at all?<br>
I'm using Voiceover, and I'm so used to Apple Mail that switching
to another client could be a challenge.</p>
<p>I don't know if this has anything to do with GPGMail or not, but
after a short test of Sierra, (I didn't know that GPGMail was not
compatible at that time), all mails received in El Capitan was
"empty", at least with Voiceover enabled.s</p></div>martintag:gpgtools.tenderapp.com,2011-11-04:Comment/408866332016-10-03T14:43:53Z2016-10-03T14:43:53ZmacOS Sierra Sierra support<div><p>Sorry for the typo errors in my last message, but navigating
edit fealds in Safari 10 on El Capitan is a real mess with
Voiceover.</p></div>martintag:gpgtools.tenderapp.com,2011-11-04:Comment/408866332016-10-03T15:49:23Z2016-10-03T15:49:25ZmacOS Sierra Sierra support<div><p>Hi Martin,</p>
<p>i not know about the status go gpgmail and what the developers
do at this time.<br>
But i am sure that gpgmail and hole suite will work on sierra like
it does on all others before.</p>
<p>Apple earn not realy many Money with Laptops and Computers only
round about 15 % hole rest are the other Apple Products, maybe you
know a few years ago apple stop the server Computers .<br>
That servers was goos pice of Hardware but brings not that Money
that Apple get with a simple launch of a watch.</p>
<p>The "Apple" way and i am not sure if that also be Steve
Job´s way was a Device that is completely managed by Apple
like the new iPads and Phones, no way get own Software running no
way (legal way) to bring your own developments to such Devices and
so far.</p>
<p>Sierra is like Captain before a step to that way for now you can
use your own Software and own Apps but every app that cost no money
or is not s sell in apples App Store bring apple no Money.<br>
I use apple Products (not all i am not a fanboy ) but i absolutely
don´t like the way apple goes here i need not a Operating
System that disallows me using what i want and put apps where i
want.<br>
A clear word here, Security is sitting in front of the Computer no
Software and no Operating system can do that Job that your and my
brain must do. Thats why i not like such Function, Gatekeeper and
hole other Process that will save me and you is at last end a
mechanism to control what we will use or can use and not to save
us.<br>
It was for binding us to Appstore, in a few Years you will see a
Apple OS that will only be running Apps from Apple own
Appstore.<br>
Apple than will know what you use went you use and why you use it,
such a Profile is better than every Facebook Teeny Webpage.</p>
<p>In my eyes that way is a wrong one and i will leave that way
until the Time coms that Appstore was the only way that Apple
allow.</p>
<p>But back to your Question, you can use Gpgp mail with the
Service also in Sierra Mail it was a little bit (really little)
more to do than normally you must use the Service Menu in Leftclick
or cmd click there you will find all GPGP Service Apps like sign
encrypt decrypt send key and so far.<br>
The only Difference between a El captain running Version was that
you must do what you need manually before you send or after receive
a gpgp mail you have no automatism thats all.</p>
<p>Do a search here in Forum you will find a Post with closer
description and Images how that Workaround will work, it was easy
two clicks to get a gpgp mail out or open a arrived one.</p>
<p>In my Eyes it was better if GPGP Tools Suite become commercial
and will cost some Money than they would have Money for
development. Like now all was free every developer brings in Time
much he/she can without earning something gpgp is a Hobby for all
that developers work on it.<br>
I can only say thank´s for that and give some time a
donation, but i need gpgp hole day at work i need a working
solution every time thats why i use not apples mail app i buy me
one that work for me and can handle gpgp and smime.</p>
<p>best</p>
<p>Andre</p></div>Andretag:gpgtools.tenderapp.com,2011-11-04:Comment/408866332016-10-04T09:18:15Z2016-10-04T09:18:15ZmacOS Sierra Sierra support<div><p>Hey Vertex and Andre,</p>
<p>welcome to the GPGTools community support platform.</p>
<p>We understand you are eagerly waiting for a version of GPGMail
that is compatible with macOS Sierra (10.12).</p>
<p>A few arguments have already been exchanged. So here's our
currently reply:</p>
<p>We are still working on 10.12 compatibility and <em>hope</em> to
have a first beta ready soon. Until then you can use GPGServices to
decrypt and encrypt messages under 10.12.</p>
<p>We have a ticket for this problem. I connected this discussion
with the existing ticket. That means, should this discussion get
closed, it will be re-opened as soon as the ticket is closed. That
way you'll stay in the loop and get notified as soon as we have
news. Feel free to open a new discussions should you run into
further problems or need assistance.</p>
<p>To temporarily disable GPGMail</p>
<ul>
<li>shut down mail.app</li>
<li>open finder</li>
<li>navigate to /Library/Mail/Bundles or ~/Library/Mail/Bundles and
copy GPGMail.mailbundle to your desktop</li>
<li>now delete GPGMail.mailbundle from the original folder</li>
</ul>
<p>Restart mail. GPGmail should be gone from Mail.app >
Preferences. To re-enable mail, close Mail.app and move the bundle
file back to the Bundles folder.</p>
<p>The fact that GPGMail no longer works is related to the
circumstance, that Apple does not provide any APIs for Mail.app. If
you think they should, please let them know via their <a href="http://www.apple.com/feedback/mail.html">feedback form</a>.</p>
<p>All the best,<br>
