Which of our tools is giving you problems?

PGP Tools

Question - does your product allow you to create a file with a .PGP file extension?

Describe your problem. Add as much detail as possible.

Trading partner is expecting a file with .PGP file extension.

What did you expect instead

Describe steps leading to the problem.

Are you using any other Mail.app plugins?

   Hi Walter,

   welcome to the GPGTools community support platform. Sorry you are having problems using GPG Suite.

   you can rename any .gpg files you created to .pgp using the finder.app.

   Let me know if that worked.

   Can you elaborate which software it is, that requires files to be in the .pgp format?

   PS: You would want to update your OS to the latest iteration. 10.11.5 brings a ton of security fixes, which you may want to be using on your system: https://support.apple.com/de-de/HT206567

   Was hoping the suite would rename automatically. I take it that is not an
   option and we have to use finder.

   The company that we are sending the file to requires the file extension.

   Would prefer to not have to then load finder and change the extension.

   Sorry, as mentioned the option you are looking for does not exist currently. It would be interesting to learn why they require this specific file extension.

   We have a ticket for this problem. I connected this discussion with the existing ticket. That means, should this discussion get closed, it will be re-opened as soon as the ticket is closed.
