GPGTools Team 'updated' pub key expired?
Hello and thank you for GPG Suite for OS X.
We are rather new to the GPGTools suite, although we have some light familiarity with the legacy Network Associates PGP implementation from years ago.
We have recently installed GPG Suite 2015.08 onto an OS X
Mavericks 10.9.5 system.
As part of the install process we followed the suggestion on the main product page to "download and import our updated key."
We, apparently incorrectly, assumed that the Team pub key that shipped with the suite was outdated for some reason, so we deleted it via GPGKeychain and imported the "updated key' linked from the main product page.
The result is a GPGTools Team pub key that expired on 2015 August 18th.
Is this the expected behavior of the GPGTools pub key(1)?
Many thanks and regards.

thanks for getting in touch about this. An updated key will be on the website shortly.
In GPG Keychain select the team public key and from the menubar select Key > Update from keyserver...
That will bring the key back to life.

Thank you for the assistance with resurrecting the key in our keychain.
We suspect that we acted rather hastily in manually deleting the shipping GPGTools Team pub key.

Hehe, no problem at all. There are quite a few fake or mistakenly created keys for our email address so we thought it's smart to ship the team key.
Perfect. Glad, this is solved for you. I'm closing this discussion. If you need further assistance or have questions you can re-open this discussion here or open a new one any time.
