I'm trying to use my newly created public key but wondering why under ''type'' it says sec/pub? Is that normal or should I be seeing my sec and pub keys separate on screen?

    Hi Jacob,

whenever you create a key, this results in a secret and public key pair being created. The secret key is needed in order to decrypt and sign messages.

For new users we recommend reading the Getting Started Tutorial.

Also this KB-article explains the basics of public key cryptography. It's a long text but worth the time.

Let me know if you have more questions or need further assistance after going through that KB.

    Best,
    Steve
