What is GPG Suite? I see it in my MAC BOOK PRO but I have Catalina installed in my MAC Book Pro 2015. Have not changed anything yet. However, I just bought a new MAC BOOK PRO in 2020 and it's still unopened. Will I need to install this new feature.

Will Big Sur be the replacement for Catalina? Out of the loop for 6 months.

    Hi Carolina,

thanks for taking the time to reach out and welcome on our support forum.

GPG Suite is a collection of tools for encrypting files and emails on your mac. Our website covers the basics: https://gpgtools.org/

If you are not interested in using it, this KB-article explains how to uninstall GPG Suite or GPG Mail only.

If you want to give it a try, for new users we recommend reading the Getting Started Tutorial.

Don't hesitate to ask if anything is unclear or you have open questions after going through the KB article.

Big Sur is the new operating system which Apple will release today. So macOS 11 Big Sur will be the follow up to macOS 10.15 Catalina.

We recommend to wait a few weeks before installing that update as e.g. Catalina caused some problems including data loss when it first came out.

    Hope this helps,
    Steve
