Which of our tools is giving you problems?

Hi I created a gig keychain but can not remember the password for the gpg block - how can I recover this pls?

Attach a screenshot of the version info for all installed components (how to: https://gpgtools.tenderapp.com/kb/faq/where-can-i-find-version-info...):

Describe your problem. Add as much detail as possible.

When I try to decrypt messages on my phone, it says the password for my gpg is incorrect

What did you expect instead

Describe steps leading to the problem.

Are you using any other Mail.app plugins?

    Hi Sam,

as already stated in the other ticket you opened, there's nothing we can do in this case. If it was a weak password you could try a password cracker.

If you have used our tools on macOS before you could check macOS Keychain Access and search for "GnuPG". If you find an entry, you might have the password in there.

    Hope that helps.

No, GPG Suite is for macOS only. But there are alternatives for Android like OpenKeychain, K9-Mail and others.

This KB-article explains how to backup your sec/pub key.

it also elaborates how to transfer your key to a second device. You will have to see how to import the key in OpenKeychain. After that decryption should work.

    All the best,
    Steve
