Which of our tools is giving you problems?

GPG Mail

Attach a screenshot of the version info for all installed components (how to: https://gpgtools.tenderapp.com/kb/faq/where-can-i-find-version-info...):

3.2.1

Describe your problem. Add as much detail as possible.

Even though I did execute "defaults write org.gpgtools.gpgmail DefaultSecurityMethod -int 2" whenever I click sign mail icon OpenPGP is selected instead of S/MIME.

What did you expect instead

Basically I want to have by default enabled signing of all outgoing emails with S/MIME as it was before I installed GPG Mail.

Describe steps leading to the problem.

Compose message, click on sign

Are you using any other Mail.app plugins?

No

    Hi Alen,

welcome to the GPGTools support platform. Sorry you are having problems using GPG Suite.

Can you please open terminal and send the output for the following command:

    defaults read org.gpgtools.gpgmail DefaultSecurityMethod

Can you restart Mail.app and see if the problem persists?

And can you double check your S/MIME cert is still valid. If it is, export and re-import it to macOS keychain.

    All the best,
    Steve

    Hello!

My cert expired 3 days ago :) My fault, it’s probably that! Thank you!

    Regards,
    Alen

Feel free to update your discussion if you renew your S/MIME cert and if then things are working as expected.
