I'm not sure how familiar you are with the existing OpenPGP
options. We offer a plugin for Mail.app called GPGMail. Another
plugin for Thunderbird exists called Enigmail (it is not developed
by us).

I am not aware of any outlook plugins. Symantec offers it's
Encryption Desktop software, but I am not sure if they are already
compatible with OS X 10.10 Yosemite.

To summarize: I am not aware of any plugin solution for Outlook
under 10.10. You might want to use GPGServices as a workaround
though: <a href=

http://support.gpgtools.org/kb/gpgservices-faq/how-to-encrypt-and-s...

As shown in the above KB, you can type your mail and then
right-click to encrypt your text. GPGServices also can encrypt
files.

Let me know if this answers your question.

All the best,
thanks for your answer.
Till end of 2014, I worked on a MacBook with OS X 10.9 with
Thunderbird and Enigmail. But now, i have to use a MacBook from our
company with OS X 10.10. and MS Outlook 2011.

Some of my contacts have my (old) public key and now on the new
machine i cannot decrypt their mails.

So, if there is no Outlook.plugin, it doesn't matter, when a
workaround could help.
Do you think, with GPGServices I could solve my problem??

Thanks once more for helping and best regards from Austria,

now we have two issues at hand.

key managment
You need to transfer your secret key from your old to your new
maschine. Otherwise as you correctly stated, mails that where
encrypted with your old key cannot be decrypted on your new
maschine.
There's several aspects to this matter:

are you sure you need two separate keys? if you are only using
one email address this is not recommended. you do not need a key
per maschine, rather the opposite is true: if you want to use the
same mail address on several maschine, all those machines should
have the same secret key so you can decrypt your mails. The
following KB explains how to transfer your key:
http://support.gpgtools.org/kb/gpg-keychain-faq/backup-or-transfer-...

if you want to use more than a single mail address it might be
a good idea to create a UserID in your existing key:
http://support.gpgtools.org/kb/how-to/how-to-associate-different-em...
or if the two email addresses should not be connected, indeed
create a second key

if you decide that you have one key too much, here's the KB how
to proceed, should you want to revoke it:
http://support.gpgtools.org/kb/gpg-keychain-faq/how-to-revoke-a-key...

outlook OpenPGP usage
That is another issue and GPGServices can indeed serve as a
solution there. It's not as comfortable as GPGMail in Mail.app but
if you are forced to use Outlook than it can get the job done. The
KB I linked in my first reply shows you how.

All the best,
steve

Stevetag:gpgtools.tenderapp.com,2011-11-04:Comment/357187452015-01-17T11:22:48Z2015-01-17T11:22:49ZPGP with Outlook2011 on a Mac OS X Yosemite

Hi Steve,
first of all, many thanks for your help!
I installed GPGSuite on the new machine, transferred all keys to
this
machine and the workaround seems to work.

The only strange thing is, that in Outlook (in the mail preview
window) i
don’t see the command „decrypt selection“
neither in the services menu nor in the menubar on the top (Outlook
-
Services),…

BUT:
when i click to reply (or forward) this message and mark the PGP
message
in this window, it works all fine!

So all my troubles are solved ;-)

Thanks once more and best regards from Austria,

the services menu sometimes shows interesting behavior. It seems
to be smart in the way that in some occasions items that are not
available do not display. In the case you mention, there is nothing
to be decrypted. But don't ask me about the logic behind that.
Because it seems to vary from system to system.

All the best and good to hear things are working as expected now
:)

Glad, this is solved for you. I'm closing this discussion. If
you need further assistance or have questions you can re-open this
discussion here or open a new one any time.

Kindly,
