How can I create 8192bit RSA keys?

GPG Suite b6

My company does in fact generate 8192 bit RSA keys for use. The systems we use have no issue with generating them. The current beta does not support 8192 bit keys - and defaults back to 4096 bit. Is an older (stable) GPGTools version available that allows for 8192 bit keys?

    Hi Robert,

please excuse the slow response time.

To generate very large keys like 8192bit keys, compile MacGPG2 with --enable-large-secmem. After that you can use "--enable-large-rsa" when generating a new key.

We follow the gnupg defaults. If you want 8k keys to be available by default, please request that feature on the gnupg users mailing list.

    All the best,
    steve

Dan I suggest contacting gpg4win in that case: http://gpg4win.de/support.html

GPGTools develops GPG Suite which runs on OS X only.

    Kindly,
