Seems to be an intermittent issue. I'll
try to find conditions to trigger it.
I'm running GPGMail 2.5b5 891b on 10.10.2 (14C109).

Ludger Heidetag:gpgtools.tenderapp.com,2011-11-04:Comment/359945982015-02-09T13:18:17Z2015-02-09T13:18:18Z10.7.5 mails can't be signed when switching "From:" account from an account without, to an account, with has a PGP key

Seems to be a Mail.app issue for me:
I have multiple email accounts set up in Mail.app
The topmost message in my in my inbox is for an account without pgp
keys. As this is the topmost message in my inbox, it gets selected
by default on launching Mail.app.
When I now create a new email, the account without pgp support (the
account of the currently selected message) is selected as sender.
Since this account has no keys, openGPG in the top right stays
gray.

Remaining questions:
– Is this behavior in vanilla Mail.app or is it triggered by
GPGMail?
– Is this a new behavior in Mail.app with 10.10.2 or maybe
Yosemite?

Since this is a possible security issue, I would suggest an
toggleable option to warn the user if he sends an email from an
account without PGP support.
"You are sending an email from an account without a GPG key. Are
you sure you want to continue?" Is this possible?

Ludger Heidetag:gpgtools.tenderapp.com,2011-11-04:Comment/359945982015-02-13T18:07:02Z2015-02-13T18:07:02Z10.7.5 mails can't be signed when switching "From:" account from an account without, to an account, with has a PGP key

Hi Kerry and Ludger,

This behavior has been confirmed on 10.7.5 machines and does not
exist on OS X 10.10.2.

We are still investigating, why this is happening.

What we'd be very interested to know, is when this behavior
started first appearing. Was it introduced with GPG Suite beta 5 or
did it already happen under beta 4 as well?

All the best,

after spending quite some time on a fix for this, we now face
the very odd situation that we can no longer reproduce the
problem.

So, could you please run all updates from apple software update,
then install GPG Suite b6 and retry the following:

create new mail from account which has no openpgp key

switch to account for which an OpenPGP key exists

try to sing the mail

Does that now work?

the icons for LOCK and COG with an X in it are non-functional.
Other than that I have all the functionality of PGP.
