how do users get informed about beta-updates?
hi, just by noticing discussions about beta 5 in my forum-RSS-feed I got to know that a new beta is available. The built-in update checkers did not inform me on the beta-5-update.
I think a fixed post here in the beta-forum that informs us about the latest versions would be a good thing.

Hi Thomas,
when you open GPGPreferences > Updates, which channel do you have selected?
For beta releases switch to "Pre-Releases". For nightly builds switch to "Nightly".
Also make sure to select the update interval of your choice. Then, when an update is available, you will receive a pop-up as soon as you use the component in question.
All the best,
steve
