Hi

Steps to reproduce

1)Select your key and then "Algorithm preferences"
2)Remove all of them and click save
3)Select the key and then "Algorithm preferences"

you will see the same algorithms as if you haven't removed them

Mac OS X: 10.10.1 (14B25)
MacGPG2: 2.0.26b2, 750b
GPG Keychain: 1.2b3, 980b
GPGServices: 1.10b2, 730b
GPGPreferences: 1.5b2, 730b
GPGMail: 2.5b4, 802b

    Hey wingman,

    I can confirm this. While this is bad behavior this (by now) is a hidden setting. And to be precise it is a hidden expert setting. So we believe this feature doesn't need to be fully featured with error messages and so forth. An average user has no reason, to even adjust those preferences.

    And if you are an expert, ideally you know what you are doing ;)

    There's just too much other stuff on our plate at the moment, that this would have a very long life in the bug tracker.
