Keep getting notification that gpgmail has expired
GPG Mail 2.5b1 783b
When I leave my mail opened but hidden in the background, after
several hours, I get a small window that pops up on the screen
saying that GPG Mail has expired, please download the newest
version.
Please describe what you did expect instead
I expected it not to do that
If you remember, please describe the steps leading up to the problem.
- ...opened mail
- ...hid it
- ...used my machine as normal
If your problem concerns GPGMail, list other plugins, should you be using any.

Hi Pete,
we are on this and hope to have a fix soon.
Does restarting mail bring you back to working state?

Yes, it does bring me back to working. Thanks for the quick reply.
Always,

Pete thanks for the feedback. I know this is only a workaround and very annoying. We'll update this discussion as soon as we have a fix available.

Well, it does bring me back for 15 oder 30 minutes. But it seems I can deactivate it that easy. Hopefully there is a fix soon. Otherwise I have to uninstall completely.
Support Staff 5 Posted by Steve on 07 Nov, 2014 09:23 PM
Klaus, you can of course uninstall GPG Suite: http://support.gpgtools.org/kb/faq/uninstall-gpg-suite
Maybe you want to wait, until the final is out. This is the first beta and we are sorry about this issue. It is being investigated.

Hi everybody,
we'd like to apologize again for this annoyance.
We've managed to fix this really stupid bug and have a new test build for you.
It would be great if some of you could install the new build and let us know if this fixes the problem as it should.
To test, please follow these steps:
1.) Download the new GPGMail version:
https://releases.gpgtools.org/GPGMail-2.5b1-790.dmg
GPG Signature can be found at: https://releases.gpgtools.org/GPGMail-2.5b1-790.dmg.sig
2.) Simply run the installer (no need to uninstall it first)
(Should you have uninstalled GPG Suite in the meantime, please re-run the Yosemite-Beta1 installer and after that, install this new GPGMail version)
3.) Open Mail.app -> Preferences -> GPGMail and make sure you're seeing build 790b
4.) Let us know if everything works as expected now
Thanks!

Where is here? ;)
Sure no problem. If you can, do - if not, that's fine as well. So far we've received no further expired reports for the new version.

I have upgraded to 2.5b1-790 today and so far the "expired beta" messages are gone.
Thank you!

This comment was split into a new discussion: Keep getting notification that gpgmail has expired
No, not working, still getting the 'has expired' message. No other plugins installed.

This seems to have solved it for me. No more messages. Thanks.
