I just upgraded to Mavericks and every time I tried to reply to any email on my corporate Office365 account, Mail would crash. I finally uninstalled GPGMail which I had immediately re-installed after the upgrade (DMG downloaded was 2013.10.22.dmg, version was 2.1) and the crashing stopped. Below is the crash log from Crash Reporter:

EDIT: see below, re-attached

    Hi there,

    thanks for your report.

I'm re-attaching your crash report as .txt file for better redability of this discussion.

Are you sure you updated to Mavericks? Your crash log is coming from OS X 10.10 and that required the GPG Suite beta.

So to get back to a working state, please visit https://gpgtools.org/ . Then download and install GPG Suite beta 3.

Let me know if that worked,
    steve

Hi Steve, Beta 3 still seems buggy. The first thing I noticed was that using the search function would somehow hide my main Mail window. I couldn't get it back until I uninstalled GPGMail and restarted Mail (at which point the window dimensions were completely wonky).

I will wait for the final release, thanks.

    Hi there,

I'd like to hear more about this behavior if possible. I've not heard this before. Could you describe in clear reproducible steps what actions you take, which trigger this problem?

Does the issue not happen when you remove GPGMail?

    • shut down mail.app
    • open finder
    • navigate to /Library/Mail/Bundles or ~/Library/Mail/Bundles and copy GPGMail.mailbundle to your desktop
    • now delete GPGMail.mailbundle from the original folder

Restart mail and check in Mail.app > Preferences if you still see GPGMail. It should be gone.

If this problem is real, we should investigate and fix it. But for that we'd need your help, since this has never happened on our test systems nor have we received any similar user report so far.

    All the best,
    steve

I had the same problem and the steps above fixed it.

    Steps to cause crash:
    * Click the button to compose a new message. * The new message window appears for a half second before the mail app crashes.

    Steps to fix:
    * Same as above, removing GPGMail.mailbundle from /Library/Mail/Bundles/ stops the crashes.

    System:
    * Mail.app 8.2 (2070.6) * Only 1 mail account configured, specifically an iCloud account setup through System Preferences’ iCloud panel. * Mac OS X Yosemitie 10.10.2 * GPGMail 2.1, Build 601 * GPG Keychain Access 1.1.3, Build 601 * GPG Services 1.9.2, Build 602 * MacGPG2 2.0.22, Build 602 * GPGPreferences 1.0.2, Build 602

    Hope that helps.

    Cheers
    Kurt

    Kurt,

please install GPG Suite b4 from our homepage. If any issues persist after that please create a new discussion. And do let us know.

    All the best,
    steve
