Sent mails are vanishing
Hi,
I have am connected via an exchange server here at the university.
With the Yosemite beta2 (this was the case with b1 as well) sending
encrypted emails does not work: When I click send, everything seems
fine, but the email a) does not show up in my sent folder and b)
does not reach the recipient. It's just lost.

Hi Johannes,
hmmm... that sounds very curious. Could you please check Console.app after sending an email to see if you find any crash logs or other related logs from Mail in there?

Hi Luke,
Here is what Console.app says:

Am also experiencing this, with similar Console output. This only affects one account in Mail.app; if I send using another account, everything works fine. I'll note that the key I'm using to encrypt/sign has UIDs for both accounts, but the primary is set to the account I want to send with. If I delete the other account (the one that works), mails still fail to send. If I don't encrypt, they send without issue--but I really want to encrypt my messages!

I don't think it matters, but I should mention that the mail servers involved here (on both the working account and the broken one) are recent vintage Postfix.

Hi Johannes, Chris,
could you both please run the following command:
and post the output.
It seems that a method that's called in OpenPGP legacy mode was deprecated.
Is there any specific reason why you've enabled legacy mode Johannes?

$ defaults read org.gpgtools.gpgmail UseOpenPGPInlineToSend

I am using legacy mode because the client I'm communicating with (K9
Mail + APG on Android) doesn't support PGP/MIME.

Ah ok, thank you!
Attach you'll find a version that should not be exhibiting these problems.
Could you test that version and let us know if it works?
What version of OS X are you both on?

The new version of GPGMail does work for me, and I'm on OS X 10.10.1.

Ah hehe, no problem.
Very happy to hear that. The fix will be included in the next version of GPGMail.

Thanks, Luke and Chris.
Yes, I had the same configuration as Chris (and of the same reason: sending to clients that do not support PGP/MIME). With that fix, everything works fine again.

Hi all, this fix is included in GPG Suite Beta 4. So if you ran into this previously, make sure to download and install that build from our homepage.
