GPGMail: GPGMail makes Mail hang when checking mail on Exchange

Hello Team,

I’m using GPGMail for an exchange/office365 email address. Regularly, Mail hangs and gets stuck when downloading email. I can’t find which mail causes the problem, unfortunately.

When that happens, Mail still seems to work: it is possible to write email, “send” them, move email to folders, etc. However, all actions are actually not performed: sent mail is hanging (and not saved to the sent folder), and moved mail remains in place, and all is lost when exiting Mail.

Disabling GPGMail allows Mail to work normally.

There is no crash, no log that I can find.

Expected
I would expect GPGMail not to interfere with the download of email.

   Hi Lionel,

   welcome to the GPGTools support platform. Sorry you are having problems using GPG Suite.

   Could you please download and install our latest GPG Suite nightly build and see if the problem persists. That page also has sig and SHA256 to verify the download.

   If that brings no improvement, you may want to consider downloading Onyx and running the repair mailbox option.

   Thanks for the quick reply. I just did that, and we'll see whether there's further hangs. It's a frustrating bug, because so far I haven't been able to pinpoint the circumstances that trigger it :-(

   Sounds good. Yeah, the more details you can figure out in understanding what may be causing the hang the better we will be able to debug this.

   If you forcequit mail.app on the hang you still get no report from macOS?

   Are there any other mail plugins you are using?
