upgraded my Mac to Sierra 10.12.4. Without thinking about it, installed the 10.12.5 updated. D’oh! GPGMail now is showing incompatible.

Expected
Actually didn’t even think about it (my screwup) so no real expectations.

    Hi Matt,

welcome to the GPGTools support platform. Sorry you are having problems using GPG Suite.

Not your screwup at all. 2017.1b3 should be compatible with macOS 10.12.5 Can you please re-install from our homepage?

Seems you updated your mac from 10.11 or earlier? The transition is still a bit bumby at this moment. Since GPGMail for 10.12 is still in beta it doesn't automatically get replaced.

Let me know if a re-install did the trick.

    All the best,
    steve

Beautiful! You were dead on. Reinstall did the trick.

    Here’ the progression:
    - I was running 10.11.x what ever the latest version was.
    - Updated GPGTools from the stable version to 2017.1b3
    - Upgraded the machine from 10.11.x to 10.12.4
    - Once completed, updated from the App Store: Mainly 10.12.5 & Xcode
    - Updated Homebrew
    - Checked mail and got the error.

Cool beans. BTW, thank you for an excellent application. Developers of tools like this don’t get enough credit for the time you spend on these labors of love.

    Hi Matt,

great this now works as expected. We have a pending ticket regarding smoothening that transition.

Thanks a lot for your kind words. They do mean a lot to us!
