Debug Log

Hi,

I'm using the gpgtools package for mac on a mac sierra laptop with t he newest OS version (10.12.5), updated this morning. The problem occurs though also with the previous version. I have just figure out that it relates to the gpgtools package.

I am using the GPG_Suite-2017.1b3-v2 downloaded also today. see attachments for version control.

When starting mail with the GPGMail.mailbundle in the folder /Library/Mail/Bundles on my mac, it doesn't work properly. sometimes it doesn't start at all, on other times it does start, but when trying to create a new mail, it crashes. see attached file for the report created by the computer to be sent to apple
When removing the GPGMail bundle everythin works just fine.

I would appreciate any help and/or updates for solving this problem.

thanks in advance

Assa

    Hi Assa,

welcome to the GPGTools support platform. Sorry you are having problems using GPG Suite.

We found your crash reports in our crash database and I connected them with your discussion.

Could you please download and install our latest GPG Suite nightly build and see if the problem persists. That page also has sig and SHA256 to verify the download.

    All the best,
    steve

    Hi Steve,

thanks for the fast reply. I have downloaded the newer version and installed it. Now the mail tool does not crashes, but I still can't do anything with it. When trying to create a new mail or responding to / forwarding an older one, the new mail just being saved automatically in the draft folder, without me having the possibility to write anything in there. I can neither send the mail nor modify it.

I also don't seem to be able to quit the mail in a normal way, but each time have to 'force quit' the tool if the GPGMail.mailbundle is there. When removed everything works just fine.

Could you please send a debug log from your affected machine: Open System Preferences > GPGPreferences / GPG Suite > Send Report. Check the box to "attach debug log". Since you already described your issue in this discussion, you don't need to add a lot of detail, but please do add the link to your existing discussion, so I can then merge your debug info with this existing discussion.

    All the best,
    steve
