I use beta version (2.7b3 build 1215b) on Sierra (10.12.4).

I was expecting to see the buttons. In fact, I’ve seen them, but they have disappeared. Don’t know when and why.

welcome to the GPGTools support platform. Sorry you are having problems using GPG Suite.

Could you please double check if the email address you used in your sec/pub key perfectly matches the email address you use in Mail.app > Preferences > Accounts and let me know if that's the case.

All the best,

It is the cause.

My officiel e-mail address changed recently from @telecom-bretagne.eu to @imt-atlantique… no other changes.
I used the former (oldest) to generate the keys.
And I have changed the name in the Mail application.

I’ve checked and reintroduced to the oldest address.
When I switch addresses buttons appear or vanish.

I’ve seen operations are available with the local menu.

Hope that helps,
Thanks,

To move forward you have a few options.

This KB-article explains how to add more than one email address to an existing key. The email addresses in a key are called userIDs and you can add as many as you want.

Important note: Note that all email addresses you add to a single key can be connected to one identity. Depending on your use-case this might be wanted or should be avoided. Please consider that first and then proceed.

That's probably the easiest way forward. You could also revoke your old key and create a new key, but that would mean all your contacts would need to have to update the new public key of yours and ensure they also update the old key with the revocation information.

Let me know if you need further help.

Stevetag:gpgtools.tenderapp.com,2011-11-04:Comment/425473542017-08-18T08:39:11Z2017-08-18T08:39:11ZGPGMail: Encrypt and signature buttons are not visible in mail.app (answer: when switching to a new email address, add that new address to your existing key or create a new key for that mail address)

Closing, since no further user feedback was received. Should your problem persist, feel free to re-open this discussion any time.
